- This file instructs you on how to change the options settings file called
- OPTIONS.FIL so that you may use the values and settings that you are most
- comfortable with and the ones that will allow HORARY.EXE to work with your
- particular printer. The different options are listed below. For each
- option, follow the guidelines specified in order to select the particular
- settings and values you want. Edit OPTIONS.FIL with any word processor or
- text editor remembering to save the file in pure ASCII format. Be sure
- NEVER to let your option setting or value extend past 7 characters,
- letters or numbers total. Column 9 must always be a semicolon.

- OPTION #1 - Use Mean Moon's Nodes (option setting = 0) or True Moon's
- Nodes (option setting = 1). The selection you make is what appears in the
- chartwheel and in the listing of planets by degrees (Default setting is
- 0).

- OPTION #2 - ORB for combustion (Default value is 8.5 degrees). Do not set
- a value of 17 or greater or a value less than 0.2834.

- OPTION #3 - Suppress or allow the printing of critical degree planets,
- antiscions and contrantiscions, and midpoints and their aspects when you
- select a listing to your printer. A setting of 0 suppresses those
- listings, while a setting of 1 allows those listings. (Default is 1).

- OPTION #4 - OPTION #13 - MOIETIES (1/2 the orb) for planets' aspects.

- #4 - Sun's aspects (Default setting is 8.5 degrees).
- #5 - Moon's aspects (Default setting is 6.25 degrees).
- #6 - Mercury's aspects (Default setting is 3.5 degrees).
- #7 - Venus' aspects (Default setting is 4 degrees).
- #8 - Mars' aspects (Default setting is 3.75 degrees).
- #9 - Jupiter's aspects (Default setting is 6 degrees moiety).
- #10 - Saturn's aspects (Default setting is 5 degrees moiety).
- #11 - Uranus' aspects (Default setting is 3 degrees moiety).
- #12 - Neptune's aspects (Default setting is 3 degrees moiety).
- #13 - Pluto's aspects (Default setting is 3 degrees moiety).

- NOTE: For the next seven options (#14 - #20) you need do nothing if your
- printer is Epson compatible. Check your printer manual for details. All
- option setting numbers shown for these options are in decimal.

- OPTION #14 - This value is your printer's next code after the ESCAPE code
- (ESC = 27) for the RESET command. (Default is 64).
-
- OPTION #15 - This value is your printer's next code after the ESCAPE code
- (ESC = 27) for the DOUBLE DENSITY GRAPHICS command. (Default is 76).

- OPTION #16 - This value is your printer's next code after the ESCAPE code
- (ESC = 27) for the VARIABLE LINE SPACING command. (Default is 65).

- OPTION #17 - This value is your printer's code for the FORM FEED command.
- (Default is 12).

- OPTION #18 - This value is your printer's code for the END COMPRESSED
- PRINTING or BEGIN 10 CHARACTERS PER INCH (10 CPI) PRINT command. (Default
- is 18).

- OPTION #19 - This value is your printer's code for the BEGIN COMPRESSED
- PRINTING command. (Default is 15).

- OPTION #20 - This value is your printer's next code after the ESCAPE code
- (ESC = 27) for the 12 CHARACTERS PER INCH (12 CPI) PRINT command.
- (Default is 77).

- OPTION #21 - Listing of planets by degrees at the end of page 2 to include
- Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. NO = 0, YES = 1. (Default is 1).

- OPTION #22 - William Lilly said that if a planet was within 5 degrees or
- less from entering the next house that it should be considered as being in
- that next house. This option allows you to set your own orb for a planet
- entering the next house (Default = 5 degrees).

- OPTION #23 - William Lilly used a 5 degree orb for the fixed star Algol.
- Set your own orb for Algol (Default = 5 degrees).

- OPTION #24 - OPTION #27 - Options to allow you to have constant values
- automatically input into the data entry routine. A value of -99 means
- that you desire manual entry in the data entry routine at all times. If
- you want automatic entry, then set this number to the value you want. Be
- sure your number is within the limits specified by the program. (Default =
- -99, manual entry).
- OPTION #24 - time zone
- OPTION #25 - longitude
- OPTION #26 - latitude
- OPTION #27 - house sytem - 1 = Placidus, 2 = Regiomontanus, 3 = Koch

- OPTION #28 - This value is your printer's next code after the ESCAPE code
- (ESC = 27) for the SINGLE DENSITY GRAPHICS command. (Default is 75).

- OPTION #29 - This option allows you to print out a chartwheel in CGA
- graphics in one of 2 ways. Option 0 gives a circular wheel with double
- height numbers and letters. Option 1 gives an elliptical wheel with
- single height numbers and letters. (Default is 0).

- OPTION #30 - not assigned yet.
